"Love/Hate" #Sold
I seem to sell artwork during serendipitous moments. Tomorrow will mark 25 years of the release of Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing. It’s incredible that this piece changed ownership on this day. I’m grateful that there are collectors out there supporting my work so I can keep creating more dopeness…#boom

Meet my sister. Throughout this project I’ve recognized a pattern. The hurricanes in Jamaica, despite their destructive force seems to also create defining moments that bring people together. In this case, soul mates found each other in the rubble. My sister was living in Montego Bay but came back to St. Ann to be around family. In this moment, she met her now husband who was stopping by the same area from Montego Bay. They both were living in the same city but Hurricane Gilbert disrupted their routine and brought them together in a different parish. 26 years later, still blessed. #familydocumentary #pastpresentfuture (at Andre Woolery Art Studio)

Today was career day at a school so I went to talk to all the 5th and 6th graders about my computer science background, my advertising portfolio and what it’s like being an artist. I think what they loved the most was that a career can mean more than just going to work each day. They want to affect the world around them which is refreshing for the future. 25th anniversary of Do the Right Thing. One of my favorite films. The Radio Raheem monologue was definitely a standout moment for me. What’s your favorite scene? (at shop.andrewooleryart.com)

"Turn off the lights, and I’ll glow…"
If you could see the studio at night when I hit the lights. From outside it’s like there is an alien in there. #art
